Foreword

I had been floating the idea of doing this website for some time (okay, a year or two) with typically ambitious ideas, and very little time. There are already some great sites out there with some great content, but there is also increasingly more and more noise. That is, most online publications seem intent on publishing every scrap of news and rumour that pops up.

So, we've launched GameAddix.com as a blog for our our thoughts on games and gaming; past, present and future. And by we I mean myself, our talented designer Jonny Rix and a handful of contributors we hope to introduce to you soon.

We are still ambitious and are looking forward to evolving the site from its current form to a content rich site presenting a range interesting perspectives from people just like you - game addicts.

The focus is games, and the experiences we have with them. When we feel something is worth talking about, we will. It might be commentary on current events, or it might be the most random thing you've read this week. The aim is to celebrate gaming - leaving the politics, sales figures and cynicism behind.

Thanks for reading. Please read on and tell us what you think...

Spring Cleaning
We've done a bit of tidying up around here.
First up, all our RSS feeds have been overhauled and made a little easier to access. Okay, we admit they were mostly broken. Each content area, including the Home page, has a dedicated RSS feed available – so you don't need to visit the site at all to see what's new (sorry Jonny).

GameAddix 1.1
Thoughts on the new update, and what's next.
For those that have been following the site since launch, you should have noted some subtle changes in the last week. Or not, subtle as they were... More significant is the addition of a major new section on our site, Game Podium.
